end of the day....

it's the end of the day
and here i am,
at one end of the couch
half watching hellboy,
feet tucked under S's warm legs...
kids are in bed, although possibly not asleep...
cold diet root beer on the table beside me...
it's almost the end of the week.

and i'm glad.

because this week has been kind of a
sucky one...
cash strapped january...
driving 45 minutes in stormy weather...
possible work setbacks...
car still making strange noises...

i'm ready to say goodbye to january.

this was not the post i set out to write.
i watched these vlogs tonight
and felt inspired
but when my fingers hit the keys,
truth came out.

One Word Challenges

shutter sisters
is having a challenge...
a one word challenge...
using a word for the month of february...
i chose to use my "word for the year"
dare
and try to use that word to guide my
photos for the month, starting feb 1st...

i will be posting some of them here
but mainly on flickr...
i'm looking forward to the challenge,
i need to push myself forward.
