happy heart day...

i heart my life right now...
{even with no money
and job stress}
{even with an ongoing bathroom reno
that could probably make a world's record
for length of time}
{even with half a headache}

a star wars valentine
printed off the computer
wishing me a happy valentine's
{sweet even though it called me "rebel scum"}
{i know how much he loves the rebels}

dishes done sweetly and room cleaned completely
by 13
without a complaint or a roll of the eyes...

a sheepish grin
and a card behind the back...
a wonderful way to wake up
and a promise of more before we go to sleep...
14 years of valentines shared...
a box of doughnuts
and a hot bath...

i heart my life.

happy valentines day to you...
xoxo

5 really good things on a regularly scheduled wednesday...

~reading this book and so totally loving it...
i know i am behind the times on this...
but gawd...so worth it.

~having S home...he was only gone one night
but i don't do night's alone well....
i don't do being without him well...
it's been 14 years but i still hate being apart from him.

~still in the honeymoon phase with my new job

~a still bright sky when i pull into my driveway at the end of the day

~and i know i said this before...but ice cold diet root beer...
in an orange and brown can...
{oddly enough, the same colors as my house}

2 girls 2 clicks...{the delayed reaction series}

so...

way back when
the patient and cute as a button liz elayne
sent me her photo
for our diptych collaboration...

i was stumped.

and burnt out from christmas and the new job transition
and
well...
stumped.

she sent such a great photo
and i just
did not know
what to match it to...
and then i think i started over analyzing it...
over thinking it...
so finally,
i just shot it.

so with no further ado...

a tiny world/up close and personal

want to play?

saturday i dared {ONEWORD @ shutter sisters}

to stop on the highway
and take pictures of pollution...

many times i have looked at this...
watched it bubble out of the building,
watched it block out the sun
and this day,
i stopped my car
on the side of the road
regardless of what the many people driving by me
must have thought
and i took pictures....and it felt good.

i even skipped a little
as i ran
back to the car.
