whatcha readin'? {goal 35::book 7}

May 2, 2022 Arlene Giddings

I love when I accidentally
come across a “Reese’s book club” pick…
this was one.

I really enjoyed reading this.
The writing was pretty, the story line was
interesting and it was a pretty quick read.

I just read that it is now part of a trilogy
and that a movie has been made of it
so I may have to check that out.

whatcha readin'? {2018::book 13 - goal 24}

May 28, 2018 Arlene Giddings

a while ago,
i told you about a book called
little fires everywhere.

(i actually might have
raved about it...
i loved that book!)

well.  this is by the same author
and it did not disappoint.

everything i never told you
is actually her 1st novel
but i read them backwards...but
it's ok because they are not connected.

my only regret about this book
is that there are no more!
i want to read more by this author!!

family drama, stories within stories,
layers and possibilities and what ifs...
and i love her writing voice...carried me
through the story effortlessly.

whatcha readin;? {2017::book 6 - goal 24}

July 24, 2017 Arlene Giddings

ok...so i really can't write too much
about this book
because i really, really
don't want to give anything away.

so...i'm just going to say that
i really enjoyed reading this...
i think i blew through it in half a day.
it was twisty-turny and unexpected.

i had read midwives a long time ago
and really enjoyed it so took a chance on this one
and was not disappointed.

i have, however, started another book by bohjalian
and so far, i am not pulled in...
but that is a review/story for another day...

i would say go read this one...it's a bit of a guilty pleasure...
like in a gone girl kind of way...but still very good!

so good, i gave it
