i missed my friday i'm in love list...

so this is likely going to be a post
with a lot of random things
that i am currently loving
but in no particular order
because my plan
WAS to do a fall list
but wanted to have some fall photos
to go with that
but i don’t have any yet
because my plan is to go out with the camera tomorrow
(and when i say camera, i mean poor little back up camera
because my 70D broke last weekend which is causing me
great sadness…but that sad story does not belong on a
friday i’m in love list…) and
so there will be some random shots thrown in to this post
because…well…that’s what i do…
including this photo
that i love in a hundred different ways
because i found this little bit of broken poetry
unexpectedly
while climbing
onto the back of a bench
when taking maternity photos
and immediately loved it.

i know.
weird things make me immensely happy.

so anyway!
on with the list of random things i am loving today.

♥ chicken burgers. I know…that’s a big stretch for me
from my usual chicken fingers but…I’m on a bit of a
chicken burger binge. Hahaha. Last week it was chicken fricot,
next week I plan to be on a grilled cheese kick.
High-brow culinary tastes, I know. :)

♥ this show. How did I not know about this show?
I loved the pilot…I REALLY hope it keeps going.

♥ i loved this…such a great idea…somehow i suspect it wouldn’t be the
same today…

♥ i can’t even tell you HOW MUCH I AGREE WITH THIS. Play is
incredibly important (and honestly, not just for kids…for grown ups, too).

♥ maybe I’m hungry…there seem to be a lot of posts about food…
but…..this is a gift I would write a thank you note for. :)

♥ working on some new cards…a little bit of fall…a little bit of anne & diana…

♥ this guy is coming to moncton!

♥ i was invited to trivia last night at a local restaurant/bar.
Normally, if I am already in my pjs, well, I’m pretty much done
for the night but I actually changed back into real person clothes
and went out AND I AM SO GLAD I DID. I suck at trivia but the
caesars were good. Oh! And the company, heeheehee!

♥ i started this course a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying it.
This week they are talking about meditation and I can’t wait! :)

♥ this made me laugh…and think.

♥ this made me mad…and cry…and curse…and cheer…and think.

♥ my 18 year old has me totally hooked on this song…

friday i'm in love...the long weekend edition

no links this time.

just words.

i think we all know that i love summer...
the beaches, the boardwalks, airshows, dairy bars,
dirt roads, starry nights, sunshine...all of that sweetness.

but i also love september.

(and not just because my birthday is in september)(heh)

but because
september feels like a new beginning...
a mini-fresh start...you know...before the REAL fresh start of
january and a new year.

but this is kind of like a reset button...
where i think about picking up on all the stuff
i let slide as i made time for beaches and dairy bars....
where i start thinking about new routines
and maybe getting up earlier
and hey, maybe i'll try that keto thing everyone is talking about
and remember when i said i was going to do yoga everyday
and hey, have you seen my bullet journal anywhere?

so here is a little list of what is making me feel
kind of excited about september (in a geeky kind of way):

• fall leaves!
• hikes
• yoga
• bullet journal
• make chocolate chip cookies
• writing group
• have had some requests for handmade cards :)
• might try my hand at family photos again
• apple picking
• board game nights
• listening to music
• watching movies (finish my Marvel list)
• make an apple pie
• take pugsley for walks
• read lots more books (on book 35 right now)
• try to get some prints ready to sell (maybe at a craft fair)
• would like to try to do some "nursery room" paintings...like...of farm animals maybe?
• maybe try to make a coloring book
• finish the 365 robot series
• sort out my life

yeah...i kind of like september. :)

friday i'm in love...

*  Driving down random dirt roads and finding a whole bunch of cows who seem to be as curious about the random girl with the camera and loud music as she was about them...

* I know nothing about football (or hockey...or baseball...or rugby...well...sports in general...)but this kid! I couldn't stop watching. 

* I so can't wait to see this!  :)

*  Fresh string beans...tomatoes...cucumbers...sigh.  All the things I love to put salt on.

*  I have been saying this all along.

*  Being home for this today...so weird, Mother Nature...pull it together.

*  Finding fantastic new Instagram accounts to follow as a result of #augustbreak

friday i'm in love....

it's a cold gray friday...
i have the day off but
don't really feel like "adventuring".

instead
i think i am going to hunker down
with blogs and books,
paintbrushes and markers,
paper and pen
for most of the day
and meet a friend for coffee & treats
at samuel's this afternoon.

i heard a rumor that the sun might come out tomorrow.
so...maybe a saturday adventure instead?
are lilacs even out yet?  I was sure I saw some in Charlottetown
but I haven't seen any here yet!

there's no rule that it HAS to be a friday adventure.
(and, even if there was...I make the rules soooooooo...)
heh.

here are some things that have caught my eye this week though :)

♥  someday i will have a greenhouse...

♥  i want to write like this....

♥  i like this idea.....

♥  i didn't watch mr rogers...he must have been on cable...and i was
totally a mr dressup and sesame street kinda girl but i really do want to
watch this....

♥  and ok.  i know i have already bugged you about this on my blog & facebook
and if you are lucky/unlucky enough to know me in real life,
i have likely bugged you about it there, too.
BUT THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD.
will someone else PLEASE watch it so that i have someone
to say "i KNOOOOOOOW!" when i say "that show is SO GOOD!"
AND i love the soundtrack.

friday i'm in love....

♥ with the Agent Carter series...
So....remember when I said I was going to watch all the
Marvel movies & shows in order of timelines (not release dates)?
Well...I started.  I watched Captain America - The 1st Avenger
and really liked it (although I fell asleep at the end of the movie
TWICE and had to re-watch but the lesson to take from that is
that I really cannot stay up past 10 pm.  It's pretty much impossible.)

So next on my list was Agent Carter.  Who I had never heard of
before the first Captain America movie.  And, I will admit, I was a little
dubious...I wasn't sure that I really wanted to commit to 2 seasons of a
show I had never heard of.

But I LOVED it.  LOVED it.  All caps bold type LOVED it.
And I have totally revived my dream of wanting to be a secret agent
when I grow up (the last time was when I desperately wanted to be Agent 99
from Get Smart).

♥ with this themed book box....all about Anne of Green Gables!!!!  :)

♥ with everything about this woman's house and gardens
and now she's building a STUDIO!!!
I know I have posted about her blog before and the
truth is, I will probably post about it again because I am
seriously smitten with everything she shares.

♥ I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS:

♥  And...since we are talking about awesome movies I can't wait for...

♥ and since we are talking about things I can't wait for...THERE WILL BE A WHOLE MONTH OF SUNDAES IN JUNE!!  Now...this is a culinary event that I can truly get behind.
