friday i'm in love....the movie edition...

I recently went to get groceries
and came home with
78 mr freezies,
24 cans of diet coke
and a big, new tv.

heh.

3 facts learned from this:
1. I hate HD television…but
i am starting to adjust thankfully
2. jumbo crush mr freezies…
were the best purchase EVER
3. I should probably not shop unsupervised.

I have been TV-binging a bit
as a result…yucky weather, COVID rules,
headachiness, laziness all contributing factors.

But here are some of the things that I watched
that I loved enough to gush about here:

Fighting with my Family
This was so frigging good.
I really wasn’t expecting to like it
nor was I expecting to
ugly cry about a wrestling movie
but I did both.

The Broken Hearts Gallery
I first heard about this movie
in an interview on Q and was
immediately intrigued.
So good. So quirky. So cute.
And yes, I cried again.
I am sensing a theme here.

The Imitation Game
This is an older movie but it was
my first time seeing it.
So good, and the ending…
sigh. Sad & frustrating.

The Trial of the Chicago 7
This stuck with me for a while
after I watched it.
Sacha Baron Cohen was so
great in it…and I might have a
small crush on Eddie Redmayne…
such a powerful,
incredibly frustrating
brilliant movie…
if you only watch one thing I mention here,
watch this one
even if my dad did say
he found it too slow….
heehee.

All right. That’s all I am going to admit to
right now because it is going to sound
like I have turned into Mr Freezie eating
movie watching couch potato…

(which may or may not be accurate…)

♥ yep. pretty much.

♥ this made me laugh out loud.

♥ a quiet friday off…no plans, nowhere to be
and nowhere to go

looking forward to a
quiet night with blankets,
popcorn, diet coke and a movie
or two.

talk of clusters and covid,
testing and times
is making me feel tired
and a little bit anxious…
time to pull the plug on
social media for the night
and rest my brain.

happy sunny friday. :)
i thought today was going to be stormy
so i worked instead of taking my adventure day…
and psych!
it was a beautiful, sunny day.
sigh.

and then, i thought
that after work,
i would quick clean the house and vacuum
and cook supper and be all productive.

instead,
i have watched countless videos
on how to build a front step,
how to make my own window trim,
googled the cost of an air nailer,
watched movie trailers,
signed up for Crave/HBO
so i can watch all of game of thrones
and ate pringles.

THINGS I AM CRUSHING ON:

♥ i finally broke down and got a hair cut.
my favorite hairdresser closed up shop
a while ago and i haven’t gotten a hair cut since…
so yesterday, i bit the bullet and went.
it was fun to explain to a stranger
what exactly is going on with my hair
as far as the purple goes.
she seemed very…perplexed
and said that she would brainstorm
with another hairdresser
before my next appointment
to come up with an action plan.
heeheehee.
i am that person. the person that
requires an action plan to be put in place.
and she had to take like an inch off the length
which made me a little bit sad.
but it had to be done.
it’s part of the action plan.

heh.

then you have already been bombarded
with photos of MY NEW ASTRONAUT BOOTS
which came on the same day that the
Perseverance rover landed on Mars. :)

i am in love with these boots.

♥ I listened to this amazing girl talk
on the Rich Roll podcast
and she blew my mind.
so young and already
has done so much…
and she sounds adorable
and brilliant and funny and i
want to be her friend.

♥ i know i told you i downloaded
TikTok and that i am hooked…
well, i have decided to try different things
that i have seen on it…the first being this foundation
powder from L’oreal called Infallible…
and i really liked it! :)

next up on the TikTok list…
make-at-home caramel popcorn!!

♥ the new foo fighters

♥ ummmm…five seasons of the muppet show
streaming on disney plus? YES PLEASE!

♥ yoga with this cat…
right after this photo was taken
he rudely attacked my head
and i called him a bad name.

friday i'm in love...with so many things... ♥

So many things making me happy right now::

♥ Today is my mom’s birthday. It’s a big one. ♥♥♥

♥ I have been making this chicken noodle soup
lately and loving it. I don’t know why I am still
always so surprised to find out a homemade
version tastes SO much better than a can.

♥ This little list fits in perfectly with my self-care word
for 2021 - glow.

♥ As does this…plus I just love that he thinks about
the poems over night…that he is really absorbing them…
so sweet. And makes me miss when my kids were littles.

♥ Just floss one tooth…start there….don’t think about the rest…

♥ I am on the last episode of the last season of this…
I loved it. I really did. It kept me on the edge of my seat for
most of it…

♥ I set up my new Canon Pixma printer today!!

♥ This week, I have seen chickadees, a squirrel and 2 foxes
in my yard. :)

♥ I finally caved and downloaded TikTok. I am not sure
why I held off for so long. I assumed it was all funny stuff
and pranks, etc…but I was SO wrong. :) There is so much
creativity happening there! Music, arts, videography,
photography…DIY, interior design, wellness, healthy eating…
I fell in love with this song because of a TiktTok duet. I’m hooked.
(also I love the line “I can’t save you with embers in my lungs….”)
