gobble-dy-goodness...

and a happy thanksgiving was had by all
:)

now it's back to routines
and work and making lunches
and counting change for
milk and pizza and subs
and making sure the kids know
which money is for what
and how much is for who...
its enough to make your head spin.

i know i said previously
that i love mondays
but really though,
this is tuesday
masquerading as a monday
so really,
that does not count.

heh.

the latest dishcloth...
a pink skull and crossbones...
teeheehee
:)

i'm so behind.

it is thanksgiving here
tomorrow
and we are off to my parents today
for turkey and apple crisp
and lots of chaotic children-y goodness
and i am pms-y
and wanted to post a poem for
poetry thursday
but don't want to do it slapdash
but have no time to do it
any other way
and am too bloated and cranky
to think about the body in
any other way but bloated and cranky...

so there are my excuses...

but i will be back full of turkey and
the weirdness that is my family
and tired and probably still a little bloated
but ready to post with renewed fervor.

aren't you excited?
:)

whatcha been doin' wednesday

here's what i've been doin' lately:

watched click....loved it...
the biggest surprise for me was seeing
the fonz in it!!

reading the pact by jodi picoult...
which i am still not sure was a perfect purchase
for me...
i don't get to buy books often and the
only real reason i bought this one was
that i was pressured by time,
necessity (watching a two and half hour
long birthday party at the POOL necessitates
having something to read)
and the cost....so....
i'll let you know...
so far it's not calling my name to read
just a couple of pages all the time,
and that's not a good sign.

finished read stolen lives by maria oufkir
which was...well...enh.
so-so.
don't get me wrong, i appreciate
the horribleness of her story,
it is sad and hard to beleive that
something like that goes on right under
our noses
but the book still didn't pull at me.

knitting dishcloths

and that's what i have been doin' lately...
:)

mondays rule.

i like mondays.
i really do.

i like the structure
and routine...
knowing what follows what,
down to precise minutes...

on mondays,
i feel a sense of purpose.
i am armed with a to do list
and sharpened pencil...
i have goals, aims and ambitions...
i accomplish things,
i cross things off my list.

i feel good on mondays.
(because i am a certified freak).
but
still...
i like mondays.
