what i did on my fourth day of vacation {wednesday}

mowed the lawn,
watered the garden,

made potato salad and ham for supper,
did the laundry,
went to the sprinklers...

took lots of pictures...
went to sidewalk sale...
bounced...

what i did on my third day of vacation {tuesday}

took my mom to my favorite place in the world...
trawled around the tourist-y shops
had lunch in the pub...
it was nice to be with just my mom...
and it was also the first time that she ever drove with me...
ever.

another milestone.

sets the bar for tomorrow.

what i did on second day of summer vacation {monday}

went to a parade

then to the beach...

we don't usually have waves...

but we did today...

and sand...lots of sand...

bbq'd at the beach

and a picnic...
{and what i am not showing pictures of
is the sunburn that resulted from this...
ow.}

what i did on my first day of summer vacation {sunday}

went to the boardwalk...

saw a moose

rode a zebra...

played a game...

my boys...

stopped by at the beach..

made hills for an ant to try to climb up...
and marvelled at how fast his legs move...

found dinosaur bones...

made plans to take over the world.


can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

i doubt you want to follow my stream {of consciousness}
today
as it eddys over now-familiar-once-foreign
sad and lonely terrain...
i should be sun-baked happy,
i should be ...

instead i am disheartened
and wondering...
puzzled and sullen...
worried
quiet
still.

waiting for the tide to come in
and sweep it all away...
waiting for time to pass,
waiting for a new day.
