sunday morning


it's sunday morning
and i'm searching for poetry
in a seventh grade
science book...

and i become aware
that the process
of the
search
is poetry
in itself
while i am lost in
words
of saturation
and levee...
water cleaving to soil,
earth too full to bear more...

and the rest is runoff
flowing along my surface.

because i'm feeling list-y...


things that i am working on
{or thinking of working on}:

1. knitting the pink blanket
(no planned recipient as of yet)

2. working through the artists way (again)
along with this hardcore rollerderby cutie
(and so far, i have only started morning pages)


3. making a nativity set as a gift for a close
friend (planning stages)

4. trying to win a trip to cuba on our
local radio station

5. weight loss (down 2 more pounds last week)

6. getting photoshop installed on my computer
(which has to be formatted first)

7. birthday gift for my bff...homemade...
(not started yet)
8. taking pictures...current obsessions include:
cemetarys, fall, practicing on 13 and 9,
and the transformation of our house
(which is being painted as we speak)

friday-i'm-in-love...



{thinking of a friend who has passed away...a friend from a long time ago...
a friend that makes me remember first boy/girl phonecalls...and notes passed...
and awkward dance moments...thinking of a friend that i haven't thought of
in too long of a time...}

~with the fact 13 got into showband after
many tries and many tears...

~with the first episode of greys anatomy
{although i greatly dislike meridith's character,
i love that the old yang is back...heehee...
bitter and biting}

~with reading the kids alice in wonderland each night
and being surprised to find out that they love it...
i wasn't so sure how it was going to go over at first
but they are asking for it and talking about it
and i really wanted to read it in anticipation of this

~with the loss of two pounds this week...
good riddance...and don't come back.
