the sweetness of sunday...{nablopomo day 9}

and here is the end result
of another of my backyard trees...
a little more chainsaw art
done by my talented other half...
{whom i adore}

next is a snowman...

today has been a good day...
mild, misty weather
a walk in the evening for treats
smell of woodsmoke on the air...
buying new christmas lights today
and new decorations for the tree...
spending time at the christmas craft fair
last night, buying myself soap
that smells of lilacs
{i heart lilacs}
and wooden letters to paint...
a lazy stolen nap in the afternoon...
and knowing i still have 3 more days
off
to enjoy...

i could get used to this.

post-it-ology 101 {nablopomo day 8}

a post it a day...
a drawing a day...
a doodle, a scribble
a capture of a moment
by way of ink,
by way of pen,
a glimpse into my pscyhe
at that very moment in time...
with no pre-planning
no fixing or editing...
free flow thought...
a moment in space,
in the continuum of my life
on a post it...
and posted here
on saturdays...
welcome to post-it-ology 101...
{it may not always be pretty,
but it will always be me...}

friday i'm in love {nablopomo day 7}

with...

~the fact that after tomorrow, i have 4 whole days off...

~the fact that on those 4 days off, laundry and cleaning
will already have been done...so i have those 4 days
for other things...
picture taking, fimo playing, card creating...

~strawberry and cream flavored chupa chup suckers

~nine taking 20.00 for a book fair at school
and giving 12.00 of it to his friend who had no money...
{although, i do fear his niceness
may be taken advantage of sometimes...but how do
you control that...without saying "don't give"}

~fantastic images created by this amazing girl...

5 really good things on a wednesday {nablopomo day 5...}

~change...hope...enthusiasm

~a pleasant parent teacher interview with 9's teachers...
who really seem to "get" him...they know he is unorganized
and yet focused so much on his positives...they even make
his disorganization seem like a positive in the fact
that he is so easy going...yet at the same time, helped
us develop an "action plan" to help him organize himself.

~taking the garbage out at 7 am only to meet up with
a neighbor full of compliments about the house color

~vanilla scented candles lit at daybreak while writing
morning pages

~2 loads of laundry done before 8:30 am
