everywhere is nowhere
and somewhere is here...
conclusions are far
yet resolution is near...
abiding by consequence,
swallowing down bitter fear
and calling it reality.

would you look at what i've done
would you look at where i've been
i've been stranded on an iceberg
i've been waiting for your requiem
you've been dancing away from the subject
while i've been swimming upstream
against the current of your descent
and you ask of me...
you ask of me.

i long to pass you belief
but i'm not sure where it went.

my lips sewn tight,
i have no words.

they have retreated,
they have gone away.

i would offer an apology
but my brain
gives me nothing to say.

{i am mute.
i am silent.
i cannot feel a thing.}

stone and cold,
bone and hair,
loss of intuition,
incomprehensible stare.

pick me up off the floor.
i am void
and empty
and yet
i can't take anymore.

a day late and a dollar short,
a declaration...
a stipulation...
a promise to deceive.

fog on the horizon
a momentary reprieve.

and i wait for time to wait for me.

cold to the bone
on a snow blind day
you have lost me in the morning
you have lost me along the way

i stutter and i stammer
feel my way along the wall
i start
i stop
i sputter
against your brilliance
i stall

but you wait for me.
