a monday list...

have been seeing this list-a-week idea
around and thought i would join in on the fun...
and it suits me well right now
to give me something to write...
life is so busy at the moment that i feel like
every post says the same whiny thing...

but now...
a list to amuse you instead
and take my mind off my growing to do list...

today list?
current food obsessions
~red marshmellow hearts
~diet coke
~sugar doughnuts
~fudgesticks
~baby tomatoes
~pb&j on thick homemade bread
~tomato juice with lots of salt

happy monday...

simple things...

a text full of sweetness
stolen naps on the couch
sugar doughnuts straight from the bakery
hot pink sunrises tinged with purple
a poem that lingered on my mind all day
warm socks
jellybeans
a new haircut
an unexpected date night
fireflies by owl city
red marshmellow hearts
melting snow
my new staind cd
books waiting to be read
blogs to catch up on
real mail
the comforting hum of the dryer
a long hug from 14...which rarely ever happens anymore...

more simple things here...go visit...really...
she's expecting you...

snapshot of my life....{without a photo}

outside my front door
sits two little seats...
today they are perched on my front door step
and look like movie theatre seats
turned just slightly to the right
for the best view
of the street.

{they once belonged to a ski boat}

every morning
i wake up and find them
in a different spot
but always together...
my boy takes them all over the yard
and sits with a friend
giggling over things
only a ten year old boy
could understand...

checking in...

3 minutes to bedtime
starting to feel like a routine
is finally being found,
trying to find a way to
incorporate
family time, work, kids' school routines,
90 minutes of driving everyday,
bill paying, laundry, sex,
favorite tv shows, reading,
dishes, meals, groceries
into one day...
not to mention
photography
{saw a picture perfect sunrise this morning,
but poor me...no camera in the car}
calling friends,
email, letters, updating etsy,
journalling
and
blogging...

sigh.

it will come...i just have to find my
rhythm...
