I loved this book.
I actually had no idea that
it was part of a trilogy until just now.
(and the truth is
I have waiting so long to write these reviews
that I am going to find it a bit of a struggle now…
hahaha. My memory is always faulty
after finishing a book…)

Something has been a little off
with me lately…
and I kept waiting for it to pass
but it’s not.
I feel
a little
loose around the edges,
lost…frayed…
blurry and out of focus.
I am not making to do lists,
I am not getting anything done….
but I am definitely
watching too much tv…
this does not make me happy.
At the end of the work day,
I seem to be struggling
with what to do next…
decisions are always hard for me.
But lately, I feel like I am just
flittering around
never landing on anything
for any amount of time
until I sit down to watch a show….
and that happens too fast and
too frequently.
So.
I made myself a
Jar of Inspiration.
Now, when the work day ends,
if I don’t have a definite plan,
I will pull something from the jar
and do that…
and see where it goes…
The list includes things like:
draw
read
yoga
meditate
dance party
color
make a card
try origami
watercolors
edit
online course
vacuum
random toy photo session
go for a walk
bubble bath
blog
AND
no turning the TV on before
8 PM…
I’m kinda excited about this.
:)
friday morning
of a four day weekend
that will include
prepping my garden finally,
shooting a wedding
(am i nervous? eff yes),
getting my first COVID shot
(not sure this has to be mentioned
BUT I HATE NEEDLES MORE THAN
TURNIPS),
checking some ice cream off my list
and whatever else
i can fit into
four June days.
♥ this has changed my life…i love corn on the cob!
and i love my microwave. heh. win/win.
♥ i love reading about how other people
relax, practice self care, look after themselves…
♥ a little retail therapy lately that got me this
adorable shirt from ardene…i can’t tell you
how excited I get when i find peter pan collars…
i really am a dork, it’s ok…you can say it. :)
also…not loving my new wrinkly neck but
meh….whatever….if you can’t change it,
learn to accept it…heehee.
♥ i love a different perspective!
♥ i also love little life hacks…
♥ i could watch this alllllll day….and feel so calm…
♥ finally got into this little shop because people messaged me and tagged me in a polka dot dress sale she had :)
sadly that dress was gone but I found another one
that i loved even more, so happy day!!! :) also,
GO VISIT THAT SHOP!! it’s adorable!!! And so much pretty goodness!!
♥ and lilacs. have i mentioned lilacs? cause just…lilacs. :) and polka dots
everyday i journal

i have recently
been grateful for.

♥ running into my brother at the grocery store
♥ the house smelling like lilacs & baby powder
♥ how a friend made me laugh by saying he
hoped baby powder wasn’t made from babies
♥ garden centers
♥ late night conversations with Cam
♥ unexpected sweet text from Em saying she misses me
♥ a good night sleep
♥ hair in a messy bun
♥ bare legs and bare feet and polka dot flip flops
♥ people that tag me when they see polka dot items on sale.
It’s kind of a cool, dark Friday
but I have been up since 6:30
on my day off anyway…
thinking a day like this is a good
time to try to get the house
cleaned up
and the grown up stuff done
so that I can enjoy the rest
of the weekend
if the sun comes out…
Today I am loving ::
♥ smoothies. I never thought that I would
in all honesty. But I have really been liking
them lately…the one I do right now is just
bananas, berries, astro probiotic Kefir
(which until this very moment I thought
kefir was the brand name…I just learned it is not)
and a little bit of yogurt. I am going to
try some new ones though so open to
suggestions! But baby steps on the
healthy part!
♥ that I am finally able to pick lilacs
from my own yard…I have waited for
this for a lonnnnnng time. :)
♥ I love this. I had gone the gray route
for a little bit but then went back to coloring
my hair because I wanted purple…
but COVID has changed my
typical hair routine…my hairdresser retired,
I got worried about box dyes and how
stressed my hair was feeling so I switched to
non- permanent color and splurged on some
hair masks and leave in conditioners….
and honestly, I can’t believe the difference in my hair.
It is softer, and feels less….matted. Which was kinda
terrifying me before.
♥ this is frigging incredible. like…seriously.
♥ Last year, I had good intentions for this
but this year, I am taking it very serious.
I am on an ice cream mission. :)
