friday i'm in love 👻

It’s the first day of new month.
That makes me happy.

THINGS I AM LOVING RIGHT NOW:
🍂I have not had a “really bad” headache
in about a week.

🍂Mild fall temperatures that make me
want to be outside which means I made it
to the park that I always try to get to
for fall photos and it did not disappoint.

🍂Reading this made me laugh cause…
me. I’m the red flag. Me.
I fit two out of three of the flags.

🍂this was just cool.

🍂Did a dry needling session with my
physio girl and she focused on the front muscles
in my neck…and while it hurt like the devil
to have it done, please see my first entry
regarding no bad headaches in a week…
fingers crossed.

🍂So excited to have gotten tickets for this
tonight! Nirvana!! Grunge!!! Yay!

I am still sad that Sarah McLachlan’s
Moncton concert is postponed but I am
hopeful it will be rescheduled.
More finger crossing. 😊

friday i'm in love...

This has been a perfectly
perfect Friday.

I had the day off, even before the promise of a
bit of wet snowstorm…
slept in, shoveled a bit,
ate warm toasty blueberry bagels…
read blogs and watched
you tube videos and got excited
about things like
maybe replacing my kitchen countertop
and renewed my desperate need
for a DIY camper van
and realized that
I really need tools if
I am gonna do ANY of this.
Heh.

This is how we shovel rainy-snow-slush
at the big orange house…
polka dot rubber boots, minions hat &
bright yellow slicker…heehee

THINGS I AM KINDA CRUSHING ON RIGHT NOW:

my new candle that smells like candy apples
THIS is gonna be a movie!!! & with Rachel McAdams who I adore!
i need these in my life.
i could totally get behind this idea!
ummmm…look at the polar bears….awwwww
& speaking of adorable creatures…

shovel too much heavy snow

that you forgot about…

pug-scares

this little guy gave me a bit
of a scare…
he has been a little out of sorts
for a bit,
his back hips seemed stiff.

getting up and down
was getting difficult…
but once he was up, he seemed fine.

then the last couple of days,
he stopped eating.
and slept
alllllllll the time.

i really thought the worst.

i prepared the kids,
he went for a drive with 22
(calling the kids by their age instead of name
is a hard habit to break here….)
to see his dad
just in case
we got bad news this morning.

BUT so far, so good!

Arthritis…meds…
instructions to maybe
stop babying him so much….
and now just fingers crossed
that the blood work comes back ok.

i am
incredibly
relieved.

pugsley, himself, is probably
a little relieved…
the way i was acting around him
the last couple of days,
he probably thought he was dying, too.

:)

(& i have to say…summerside animal hospital
is a fantastic place to deal with.
so kind and non-judgy
even after someone
stress pooped on the floor…)
(not me!!!!)

polka dots, pugs and almost the first dairy bar run...

I am feeling a little calmer about the
state of the world today…
I am adjusting a little better after
giving myself a little bit of a FB break.

I did go into Charlottetown on Friday
for coffee with a friend….
if you have never gone to Bar 1911,
you should totally check it out.
It’s a beautiful little spot and
I totally want to try out their specialty coffee
that comes with a shot of fireball.
mmmm.
And…& the menu had DOUGHNUT BOWLS?!?
I must try this.

I spent the rest of the weekend
studying and working on cards,
vegging out to music,
catching up on grays anatomy,
watching movies about judy garland,
eating jujubes by the handful,
making chicken noodle soup in the slow cooker
and reading a brand new book…

today pugsley & I
took a walk on the boardwalk
in the blue sky
and sunshine
and it was beautiful and crisp and fresh…
we went down on the beach
and walked for a long time
in the silence and the stillness
and for that little bit,
I totally forgot that there was anything
scary going on in the world
all around me.

In that moment,
it was just me and a pug,
some polka dot rubber boots
and the seagulls…

and…we would have gone to the dairy bar
but sooooo many cars….
haha. it was chaos of a different kind.
we’ll save that treat for when the snow melts a little bit more.

friday i'm in love...

I was going to come here and do my usual
friday i’m in love post
but somehow
i got sucked down an alice in wonderland rabbit hole of
searching for
(and getting incredibly excited about)
the following things:

• dollhouses

• building a doll house

• how to deconstruct & re-construct a blythe doll

• i want ALL the calico critters

• also little people

• and bella grace magazines

• plus a new hot chocolate recipe

• and cute skates

• also i think i need some tools

• so i can build a light box

• and a doll house (which brings me full circle).

Do you ever have those moments though?
Where you are kind of bobbing along, doing your every day thing
and slightly inspired by the world around you
but then, all of a sudden, it’s like you wake up
and EVERYTHING is inspiring…
shades of light,
music,
the color of the sky,
random you tube playlists,
the book you are reading,
ads for kids clothes,
snippets of conversation in the mall…

literally everything suddenly makes you want to
grab a paper, pen, saw, scissors, keyboard, chainsaw…

you feel excited
about
everything.

That’s how I feel…right now.
I like this feeling.
I want to keep it.

(also, this little guy
had a friday adventure of his own…and
went to the vet today…but he is ok! Yay!)
