It was a pretty good week
in the big orange house…mostly.

For some reason,
it was a pretty headache-y week…
but some good things
happened in spite of that.

My IPSY order came!

I didn’t take any photos this time
but this was from the website…
I totally love the lip gloss!

Got a pedicure!
New sparkly toes
all ready for summer
and flip flops
and beach sand!

IN THE BIG ORANGE HOUSE::

WATCHING: finished The Act; Million Little Things; finished Inventing Anna - SOOO good!
We Need To Talk About Cosby - finished…SOOOO disturbing.

READING: Anxious People - Fredrik Backman

LISTENING TO: Broken - Jonah Kagen

EATING: bananas dipped in betty crocker chocolate icing

GRATEFUL: the headache went away, chicken fricot, cinnamon-y crescent rolls,
pretty red tulips in a glass vase, pedicure, lunch with the girls, a work lunch
earlier in the week, sparkly light eye shadow.

It’s been a quiet week here
in the big orange house…
another possible COVID contact
(but all negative here),
a failed attempt at seeing
Spiderman in 3D
(it was sold out),
warm chocolate chip muffins,
pizza from Dino’s (so good)
while watching this movie
with my girl
which made us both laugh so hard…
definitely worth watching…
some painting,
some daydreaming
about garden planning and
building she sheds and playhouses
in the back yard…
two visits with BFFs,
and a failed sump pump attempt
that resulted in not a lot of water
going outside,
but onto me instead.

All in all, a good week.
The days are getting longer and brighter
and that is a very good thing.

IN THE BIG ORANGE HOUSE:

WATCHING: The Act; Million Little Things; spiderman; Inventing Anna

READING: Anxious People - Fredrik Backman

LISTENING TO: Shoulda Known Better - Amos Lee

EATING: cinnamon hearts

GRATEFUL: the days are getting longer, the water was not
too bad in the basement, for soft, fleecy, warm leggings,
for Pugsley’s snoring, for teeny tiny pink flowers,
for longer days and more light in my life.

I am finding winter
hard this year…which is
not really like me.
I mean, don’t get me wrong,
I always hate winter…
I don’t like to be cold,
I don’t wanna shovel…
I work from home so storm days
are nothing to look forward to…

but this year,
I feel more isolated
than I ever have.

I’m not really sure why.

I am trying to push myself
out of my head
by getting back to the little blue desk
(evidenced above by a little holly hobbie-ish geek girl),
doing monthly challenges for myself
(last month was intermittent fasting;
this month is 10000 steps a day),
and most recently
forcing myself to get dressed everyday
in real clothes
and not just stay in the same pjs…

This has been been a good thing
for me to do…
sometimes, when there is
no else to push you
you gotta push yourself.

IN THE BIG ORANGE HOUSE:

WATCHING: Yellowstone; Love Life; Atypical

READING: Becoming - Michelle Obama

LISTENING TO: Trucker Speed - Fred Eaglesmith

EATING: granola bars dipped in cake icing; popcorn

GRATEFUL: not many morning headaches; 22 helping me
with snowblower; sweet & encouraging comments on
social media; the way timmy the cat gently puts his paw
on my cheek when I need it the most; gas station cookies;
bunny slippers; shampoo that makes my hair smell like apples.
